I Love Smart Netbooks
Labels: Computers and InternetIt is the indispensable thing in our life to surf the Net now, especially while travelling or business trip. Generally speaking, we will carry traditional laptops. However, traditional laptops are heavy and inconvenient. The laptop computer netbooks become more and more popular in the whole world now. The fashionable appearance, ethereal weight and cheap price attract me. I can't resist the temptation of laptop computer netbooks, so I decide to buy one cheap netbooks finally. It’s so smart! My netbook is even smaller than a magazine, please look at the photo above. I have to say I love smart netbooks.
The function and technology of computers have already reached a very high level at present, but we are surfing the Net in more than 75% of time or deal with Word file, so we don’t need very high-performance and heavy computer. The weight of netbook doesn’t exceed 1.5 kilograms, so it’s faster and lighter than traditional laptop computer; the screen of the general netbooks is 10 inches, 8.9 inches, 7 inches, even smaller, so it’s smart; the memory is generally within the range of 512MB - 1GB, it’s enough to surfing the Net; the most important thing is netbooks are so cheap. Netbooks have longer battery service time, waterproof keyboard and stronger resisting shock function. So the quality and cheap netbooks are popular with businessmen, students and game players.
The netbook is just like my electronic secretary. She helps me to type; she helps me to receive and send email at any times and places; she lets my working efficiency be higher; when I am tired, she plays songs and movies for me. However, I can't feel her weight; she is as light as feather. I am so relaxed and satisfied because I have netbook. I love netbook.

WIKID
Labels: Free ResourcesWiKID is a two-factor authentication system. It consists of: a PIN, stored in the user's head; a small, lightweight client that encapsulates the private/public keys; and a server that stores the public keys of the client's and the user's PIN. When the user wants to login to a service, they start the client and enter their PIN, which is encrypted and sent to the server. If the PIN is correct, the account active and the encryption valid, the user is sent a onetime passcode to use instead of a static password. You can think of WiKID as 'certificates on steroids'. It is more secure than certificates because the required PIN is only stored on the server, so it is not susceptible to offline passive attacks. It is easier because user enrollment is automated and you don't have to deal with a full certiticate infrastructure. You can also compare WiKID to hardware tokens: it is much easier to implement, more extensible, yet just as secure. Stealing either the token or the PIN does you no good. You must steal both, just like a hardware token.
